# Your free trial

What the free trial includes, how long it lasts and what happens when it ends.

Try Mestra for 14 days with up to 80 formats and 1 brand. You don't need a card to start. With free mail, an owner adds one after 20 formats to unlock the rest.

> **Before you start:** You can start a trial at [app.withmestra.com/signup](https://app.withmestra.com/signup). The person who creates the organisation becomes its owner. Owners handle the card and subscription.

The 14 days start when your organisation is created. If we hold your sign-up for approval, they start when we approve it.

Every new organisation also gets a sample brand, a sample campaign and a pack of common shopping-centre sizes. You can build up to 40 sample formats in total. They don't count towards your trial formats.

A format counts when its layout is planned successfully. A format that fails isn't counted. Each brand you tick is its own run, so 6 formats for 3 brands count as 18.

If a format failed or its review didn't finish, select **Try again** in the app. The first three tries again of a format in the same run are free. A failed try never uses one up. If the format had failed, the first try that works counts as that format, because the failure wasn't counted.

## Work email or free mail

- **Work email:** you get the whole trial with no card.
- **Free mail (Gmail, Outlook and similar):** you get 20 formats without a card. To unlock the other 60, an owner adds a card on the **Billing** page. It's a card check only. We don't charge it.

If a run would take a free-mail trial past 20 formats, Mestra asks for the card first. You'll see a banner from 16 formats, and an email at 16 of 20 formats.

One trial is allowed per work email domain, per email address and per card. If someone at your company already has Mestra, ask them for an invite.

## Reminders

Mestra emails the owners:

- on day 10, when the trial ends in 4 days;
- on day 13, when the trial ends tomorrow;
- when 80% of the trial formats are used.

In the app, a banner shows how many days and formats you have left.

## When the trial ends

The trial ends after 14 days or when you've used all the trial formats, whichever comes first. A free-mail trial that's still waiting on its card is asked for a card instead.

If nobody subscribes, your organisation becomes read-only:

- You can still sign in, view and download.
- You can't start runs or change settings.
- We keep your data for 60 days from the day it becomes read-only.
- About 7 days before the end of that time, we email the owners with the deletion date.
- After that, we permanently delete everything your organisation holds, including brands, campaigns, formats, settings, logos, run records, library files, invites, app sign-ins and memberships. This can't be undone.

Your built files are already in your design app or the folder you saved to. If your library was on, download kept files from **Work** > **Runs** before the deletion date. The full terms are in clauses 4 and 14 of the [Terms](https://withmestra.com/terms/).

## Keep going

An owner can subscribe at any time before the deletion date, including after the trial ends. Subscribing stops the deletion and restores your organisation straight away, and your brands, campaigns and formats carry over. The trial never turns into a paid plan on its own.
